My name is Elizabeth Harris, I have always had a love for nature and natural things. Mama's Garden of Soaps and Toiletries is an extension of my love for nature. The beauty of the land, the sky, the water, the animals, and how the people love to be a part of God's natural masterpiece. I was born in Los Angeles California in the Historic Central Avenue area. My parents were both from the state of Mississippi, from a place called Palmers Crossing.  Both of my parents were reared on a farm that their family owned, they had extensive knowledge of vegetables and fruits and how they grow. They also knew a lot about livestock and various animals.  My growing up in Los Angeles was totally different from their upbringing. Because I was reared by these proud Mississippians, the more I matured, the more I realized, "I liked what they liked. I love to garden, I love Mississippi cooking, I love cane ribbon syrup with biscuits, I love nature, I love the waves in the ocean, I love to see the morning due on the flowers.  A lot of the people who grew up and lived in the Historic Central Avenue area were from the south Mississippi, Louisianna, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Arkansas, Latin America and the Caribbean Islands. I was born in Los Angeles with deep southern exposure. As a tribute to where I grew up, and all of the wonderful people who helped to shape who I am today, I present to you," Mama's Garden of Natural Soaps and Toiletries", this business has, "A Los Angeles Afro Urban multi-cultural feel, with a down home Southern twist.
